As a life long fan of simulation games, paid DLC is a hassle and has cost me hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars over the years. So, as many others, I have been wondering will paralives have paid DLC? And we have an official answer.
Will Paralives Have Paid DLC?
The answer is no! We know this because on June 8, 2025 the Paralives team released a post announcing the release date of the game which was so exciting! This post had a bunch of information about the early access release of the game and pricing information.
In the release date post you can scroll to the Pricing section and you’ll see the following quote “As a reminder, during Early Access and after, the game will only ever get free updates and expansions and will never have any paid DLCs. This decision stems from the fact that, as life simulation fans ourselves, we believe that players deserve a complete experience when purchasing a game. Since we are a small independent team, the sales from the base game will be enough to sustain the development of exciting new features and content for Paralives.”
As a long time player of simulation games like The Sims, this is so refreshing. It’s nice to have a game being created by a small team that doesn’t need to cover obscene expenses and marketing budgets so they can afford to do things to make the players happy without price gouging every few months.
