All About Mushrooms in Paralives
Mushrooms are one of the collections in Paralives that you’ll need to complete the museum and community center.
These little guys appear everyday around the world and you can choose to eat them, or to collect them!
How to Find Mushrooms
Mushrooms are wild and they can grow anywhere you can find grass in the world. You’ll see mushrooms in groups or on some tree stumps around the world. They reset everyday at midnight and will spawn in different locations everyday with different types being found.
Once you find a mushroom you can click on it and choose collect to add it to your inventory or choose eat (at your own risk) to have your Para consume them.
Death from Mushrooms & Mushroom Poisoning
When you click a mushroom in the world you have two options, to collect it or eat at your own risk. This is because you can actually get sick or have your Parafolk die from eating the wrong mushroom!
If you eat two specific types of mushrooms your Parafolk will die, eating two types of mushroom will give them Mushroom Poisoning which makes them feel sick and the rest of the mushrooms are safe! I was super vague with this because there’s a chart below with all the answers but I didn’t want to have spoilers.

When a Para has mushroom poisoning they’ll get a twelve hour long sickness. This will make them have to go pee all the time and they’ll be pretty useless for the day. You can get them to seek care at a hospital or clinic to make them feel better.

Safe vs Unsafe Mushrooms
Below you’ll see a table showing which mushrooms are safe and which aren’t, so if you’d rather it be a secret, scroll past quick!

Mushroom Quests
There are a few quests you can do that involve mushrooms either collecting or destroying them. The first quest is the Kick That Shiitake quest where a Para needs you to destroy some shiitake mushrooms to help them out.

The other quest you can get is one where you need to collect 2 mushrooms where you’ll need to find some Fly Agaric mushrooms.
